More Information About Interventional Radiology

Exact Radiology Clinics offer a range of Interventional Radiology strategies, which involve performing procedures using image guidance. These strategies often include injecting different medicines or performing a variety of different procedures at the area of concern. Common areas of complaint for the use of Interventional Radiology include, shoulder, neck, back, hip, elbow, knee, ankle, foot and hands. Only minimal discomfort should be expected for whichever procedure or technique it used.

These procedures use guidance from either an Ultrasound or CT machine and allows the precise location to be identified for intervention. We have a series of trained and accredited staff that will operate the equipment and perform these procedures. Our Radiologists work with your health professional to establish the best strategy to achieve the best results.

The approach/strategy used takes into consideration your specific circumstances. These procedures may be diagnostic and/or therapeutic, often providing the patient with pain relief.
